Bastar Division Grapples with Severe Flooding, Triggering Military-Led Rescue Efforts

Unprecedented rainfall in the Bastar division has triggered a disaster, with extensive flooding and infrastructural damage. The continuous downpour over the last two days has resulted in submerged roads, collapsed bridges, and overflowing rivers. Several villages have been completely inundated. The district headquarters is now isolated due to severed communication lines. Local authorities are on high alert, and the army has been called in to lead rescue operations.
