Raipur, August 10, 2025/ The effective implementation of Next Gen e-Hospital, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in Bastar division is proving to be a major change for the region. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai is making continuous and meaningful efforts towards the strong expansion of health services in Bastar division. Under the constant guidance of Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, the health services of the state are moving forward with technology today.

The Next Gen e-Hospital system is being successfully operated in six district hospitals, two civil hospitals and 41 community health centers of Bastar, through which OPD registration, consultation, investigation, medicine distribution and all information related to the health of patients are now available on a digital platform. Under this, patients are getting better and timely services. This inclusion of digital technology has significantly increased transparency, efficiency, and patient satisfaction in hospitals.

Under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, Health Facility Registration (HFR) of hospitals and Health Professional Registration (HPR) of doctors and nursing staff has been ensured. By establishing Aabha kiosks in hospital premises, patients are being given the facility to create Ayushman Bharat Health Account (Aabha). The facility of online OPD registration through Scan and Share and Aabha ID has relieved patients from long queues and they are getting prompt services.

The impact of digital innovations has also become clear. A total of 60,045 OPD registrations were recorded in District Hospital Bastar during May, June and July 2025, out of which 32,379 registrations were done through Aabha link — which is 53% of the total registrations. During the same period, 33,895 OPD registrations were recorded in District Hospital Dantewada, out of which 13,729 registrations were linked to Aabha — that is, 40% digital integration.

This entire process is not only ensuring time saving, but is also providing the facility of digital health records for patients, which they can view anytime, anywhere in the country. This is increasing the continuity and quality of treatment along with transparency in the health service system.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that the successful implementation of modern technologies like Next Gen e-Hospital and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission in Bastar division has given a new momentum and direction to health services. Patients are getting timely, accessible and quality treatment through digital registration, health records and a transparent service system. This initiative is not only a model for Bastar, but for the entire state, which we will soon implement in all the districts of the state and realize the resolve of “Healthy and Empowered Chhattisgarh”.

Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that this technical upgrade of health services by the Chhattisgarh government in Bastar division is not only proving useful for the local people, but is also emerging as an exemplary model for the entire state. The state government’s goal is to implement this system firmly in all the districts and move forward strongly towards “Healthy and Empowered Chhattisgarh”.

It is noteworthy that this initiative in the field of health facilities is not limited to the digitization of health services, but it is also a powerful medium to connect the people of rural and remote areas with quality medical facilities. The positive results received in Bastar prove that when technology, administrative will and public participation come together, the pace of development increases manifold. This initiative will not only bring change in health services, but will also ensure Chhattisgarh’s important contribution in the construction of ‘Healthy India’.
