    To practice law in India, law graduates must pass the All India Bar Examination (AIBE), as mandated by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The AIBE 20 notice has been issued. Registration begins on September 29, 2025, and interested candidates can apply via allindiabarexamination.com within the given timeframe. The last day to register is October 28, 2025. The BCI will conduct the examination on November 30, 2025. Important dates include: Registration Start: September 29, 2025; Online Payment: September 29, 2025; Registration Close: October 28, 2025; Payment Deadline: October 31, 2025; Admit Cards: November 15, 2025; Examination Date: November 30, 2025. Eligibility: Candidates must have a 3- or 5-year LLB or be in their final year, with no backlogs. They can register through the official website. The AIBE website states that those from unrecognized institutions are ineligible: “Any candidate, whether currently a student or a graduate, studying or passed out from a university or college which is not recognized/approved by the Bar Council of India, shall not be eligible for AIBE. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that their educational institution is duly recognized by the BCI.” Application fees are Rs 3,560 for general and OBC candidates, and Rs 2,560 for SC and ST candidates.
