This morning, the dead body of 65-year-old Chintamani Verma, father of late Meghnath Verma, was found near the bathroom of his own body in village Risda of Kotwali police station area of Balodabazar. Marks of injury and dragging were found on the head of the deceased, which suggests that the old man was murdered and his body was dragged and kept near the bathroom.

On receiving the information, Kotwali police reached the spot and started investigation. Due to the incident being suspicious, a team of dog squad along with forensic experts has also been called. Kotwali police station in-charge Ajay Jha says that the police is investigating the incident site and interrogating the nearby people including the family members, and the entire incident will be revealed soon.
Step son murdered elderly mother
The dead body of an elderly woman was found in a pond in village Dhanpur Baigapara of Khadganwa area of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district. The police have revealed the murder, in which the accused has turned out to be none other than the step-son of the woman. According to the information received from the police, the elderly woman used to walk around with a stick. The physically weak woman would often fall while walking, due to which the stepson was worried about having to spend money on getting injured.

On March 8, while going home after drinking alcohol with his nephew Naihar, Lal Sai's step mother Sumaria was found lying on the road, who was calling her step son for help. Laalsay, who was under the influence of alcohol and said that he had repeatedly fallen down, along with his nephew Naihar, killed his stepmother by pressing her nose and mouth with the cap he was wearing, and threw her body in the pond behind the house after tying it with a stone.
