Central Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Chhattisgarh to participate in the Bastar Dussehra. He is expected to attend the festivities on October 4th, including a visit to the Muria Darbar. Preparations are underway at Jagdalpur’s Lal Bagh मैदान for his arrival. The visit holds special significance, as Amit Shah is likely to engage with surrendered Naxalites. There’s also a possibility of meetings with officers and security personnel involved in operations against Naxalism, which has put the administration on high alert. Amit Shah’s confirmation of the visit via social media highlights its importance. The visit is seen as crucial in the context of ongoing efforts against Naxalism. Shah is expected to interact with security forces and talk with surrendered Naxalites to understand their changed lives. Moreover, he plans to meet with villagers in the Bastar region. He will be joined by CM Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy CM Vijay Sharma, Arun Sao and other senior officials. The invitation was extended to Amit Shah by Mahesh Kashyap, the Bastar MP and chairman of the Dussehra committee, in Delhi, and he accepted it. Preparations are in motion for Shah’s visit on October 4. While the specific programs he will attend are yet to be announced, his social media post expresses his excitement to be part of Bastar Dussehra, a festival celebrating the region’s progress toward peace and freedom from Naxalism.
