Raipur. After the restoration of service through Kat, DG from GP Singh ADG also became promoted today. As soon as Ashok Juneja retired, the DPC met for a vacant post of DGP today. In this, it was recommended to promote ADG GP Singh DG. Official order in this regard will be issued soon. The state has two DG cadre and two x cadre posts, including Ashok Juneja, Pawan Dev, Arun Dev Gautam and Himanshu Gupta. After the restoration of GP Singh, there was a situation of doubt on how to promote DG? Then the extension of Ashok Juneja was also being discussed.
If the extension was given then there is no other option but to demot Himanshu Gupta. Since Ashok Juneja retired, the DoPT had instructed the state government to DPC for a cadre post to be vacant. In the DPC meeting today, it was recommended to promote GP Singh DG.
