Abhanpur. In Gobra Nawapara Nagar, a high speed car went uncontrolled near Nawapara bridge at around 3 pm on Thursday afternoon. In this painful accident, Hansraj Kansari (40) died on the spot, while four people were seriously injured. After this incident, there was chaos in the area. The injured have been admitted to the hospital, where treatment is going on.
According to the information, Shivam Thakur (18), Nawab Khokhar (55), Mehboob Khokhar (45) and Mo. Shakeel (45) has been injured. On the information of the accident, the police reached the spot and started taking the crashed car from the crane to the police station, when the fierce mob stopped the crane and vandalized the car. Angry people blocked the road by putting electric poles on National Highway-130, which led to long queues of vehicles on both sides. However, the mob introduced humanity by giving way to the ambulance. After about an hour, the jam ended after the police-administration explained.
The driver surrendered by reaching the police station
The car driver Santosh Sahu (resident of Kundel) escaped from the spot after the accident and reached the police station directly and surrendered. On receiving the information of the incident, SDM Ravi Singh, Tehsildar Srijan Sonkar, Nawapara TI Jitendra Asaiya, Rakhi CSP Karan Uki, Abhanpur TI Abhishek Chaturvedi and Rakhi police station TI Ajit Rajput reached the spot and controlled the situation. Local people demanded to declare Gaushala Chowk as a sensitive area, because there have been many accidents before here.
Eyewitnesses heard the incident
At the time of the incident, the injured Mehboob Khokhar, who was present in the shop, said that the car crossed the bridge at a very high speed and suddenly went uncontrolled and moved towards the shops. On seeing this, Hansraj Kansari was hit by him and four others were injured. At present, the police is investigating the case. Action is being taken against the guilty driver.
