Raipur, 4 teachers who did not join after rationalization in Korba district have been suspended. At the same time, show cause notices have been issued to many teachers who did not join the schools allotted after rationalization and their salary of 2 months has also been stopped. Action is being taken against these teachers who did not join after rationalization after the hearing in the district and divisional level committees after rejecting the applications. The District Education Officer has also directed all such teachers to attend the allotted schools as soon as possible and teach the children.
District Education Officer Korba said that under the rationalization instructions issued by the government, 292 assistant teachers and 15 head readers of primary schools and 153 teachers and head readers of secondary schools of Korba district were identified as surplus. According to the rationalization instructions, these surplus teachers were to be posted in teacher-less and single-teacher schools. Since the number of single-teacher schools in the primary schools of Korba district was more than the number of surplus teachers, the District Sariya Rationalization Committee decided to post surplus teachers in single-teacher and teacher-less schools located in remote areas and those with a shortage of teachers for a long time. Based on the said decision, posting orders were issued by organizing open counseling of surplus teachers.

He said that the dissatisfied teachers had submitted a representation before the District Level Rationalization Committee, which was rejected as it was not found satisfactory. After this, the concerned dissatisfied teachers filed petitions in the Hon’ble Chhattisgarh High Court Bilaspur, in which most of the petitioners were directed to submit a representation before the District Level Rationalization Committee and the District Level Rationalization Committee was directed to hear and dispose of the submitted representation within a week. According to the orders of the Hon’ble Court, 5 representations were found valid after hearing at the district level and the remaining representations were again rejected by the District Level Rationalization Committee as they were not found satisfactory.

District Education Officer Korba said that the state government has constituted divisional and state level rationalization committees to dispose of the representations of dissatisfied teachers related to rationalization. After rejecting the representation by the District Level Rationalization Committee, the concerned dissatisfied teachers submitted a representation before the Divisional Level Committee. After hearing on the representations of the teachers by the Divisional Level Committee, 2 representations were found valid and the remaining representations were rejected as they were not found satisfactory.
During this time, show cause notices were issued to the teachers who did not assume charge under the posting order under rationalization at the district level, under which 4 assistant teachers were suspended due to the unsatisfactory replies submitted by the concerned teachers and the salary of all the teachers who did not assume charge was stopped for the last two months.

He said that after the rationalization, the teachers have taken charge in most of the primary and secondary schools located in the remote areas of the district. As a result, the study system has been ensured regularly and at present, in the schools where there is a shortage of teachers. Honorarium education has been arranged in those schools from the District Mineral Trust fund.
