A harrowing case of sexual assault has come to light in the Masturi area of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. A 13-year-old girl was attacked and sexually assaulted. The girl had stepped outside her home in the evening when Raju Markam, a man from the same village, committed the heinous act.
When the girl was alone, Markam took advantage of the opportunity and sexually assaulted her. Following the assault, Markam escaped from the location.
The victim’s family informed the police, prompting them to take action and arrest the suspect. Upon questioning, the suspect confessed to the crime. The police have filed a case against the accused under the charges of rape and the POCSO Act and have initiated judicial proceedings.
