Raipur, November 4, 2025/This is an extremely proud moment for Chhattisgarh as 12 metric tons of Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) have been exported from the state to Costa Rica.

Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai said on this achievement that Chhattisgarh’s identity is not only strengthening on the global stage, but the state’s credibility in the fields of nutrition, quality, and prosperity is also reaching new heights.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that this achievement is an extension of the campaign against malnutrition undertaken under the guidance of Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi Ji, which is now showing its impact globally.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that this is a commendable step that will promote new opportunities and value-added agricultural exports in the global market for our farmers, mill operators, and exporters. It is also a significant achievement towards a self-reliant India and a self-reliant Chhattisgarh.

Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) is enriched with essential nutrients like iron, folic acid, and vitamin B12. This initiative not only strengthens food security but also improves the nutritional level of the society. Now, Chhattisgarh’s products are emerging as ‘symbols of nutrition’ in the global market.

Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai called this achievement a historic step towards ‘Self-Reliant India and Self-Reliant Chhattisgarh’ and said that this export is the result of the hard work, quality, and dedication of Chhattisgarh’s farmers, mill operators, and industries. Today, our Chhattisgarh is not just the food provider of India, but is becoming a global brand of nutrition, innovation, and quality. This is a moment of pride, making our state a leader in both global trade and the nutrition mission.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that this success will not only move the state forward towards economic prosperity but will also provide new impetus to Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of ‘Malnutrition-Free India’ and ‘Self-Reliant India’.

It is noteworthy that the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Piyush Goyal, informed through a social media post that the first consignment of 12 metric tons of fortified rice kernel from Chhattisgarh has been exported to Costa Rica. He said that this global effort, advancing Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi Ji’s campaign against malnutrition, not only strengthens our foreign trade but also energizes our nutrition mission. This initiative provides opportunities for our farmers, mill operators, and exporters to explore new markets, achieve better prices, and promote the export of value-added agricultural products.
