In a profound display of devotion and commitment, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai attended the Sant Samagam and Guru Darshan Mela at Giroudpuri Dham, the birthplace and meditation site of Baba Guru Ghasidas, on Sunday. The event, held in Baloda Bazar district, drew thousands of devotees from across the state, country, and abroad.
CM Sai offered prayers at the revered Guru Gaddi, seeking blessings for the prosperity and well-being of Chhattisgarh’s residents. Speaking to the gathered crowd, he emphasized the timeless message of Baba Guru Ghasidas: ‘Man khe – man khe ek samaan,’ which promotes equality among all humans, fostering harmony and unity.
‘Our government is steadfastly walking the path shown by Baba Guru Ghasidas,’ the Chief Minister declared. He highlighted ongoing development initiatives at Giroudpuri, including the construction of a massive Jaitkham and expansion of various facilities to enhance pilgrim experience.
Praising the district administration’s efforts, Sai noted the introduction of a website and mobile app that provide real-time information on fairground amenities. He even demonstrated by scanning a QR code with his phone to access the details, underscoring the tech-savvy approach to event management.
The CM personally distributed prasad from the main temple to ecstatic devotees, including local worshippers and women from self-help groups. The three-day fair, running from February 22 to 24, 2026, is a major gathering for Satnam Panth followers.
Authorities have made elaborate arrangements: 1,150 police personnel for security, 60 CCTV cameras, nine health camps, ten ambulances, extensive water and sanitation facilities with 48 tankers, 550 cleaners, multiple toilets and bathing areas, and more. Prominent figures like spiritual leaders Guru Baldas Saheb, Guru Somesh Baba, and politicians including MP Kamlesh Jangde were present.
This visit reinforces the state government’s alignment with Ghasidas’ teachings of equality and service, promising continued development for sacred sites and communities.
