Chess Champions Advocate for the Chola Chess Initiative in Chennai

Viswanathan Anand, a former World Chess Champion, has expressed his support for the Chola Chess Initiative in Chennai, a CSR project. He believes it provides great opportunities for chess players across the country to learn. The facility is a collaborative effort by Cholamandalam Investment and Finance and Chess Gurukul. Praggnanandhaa, a rising star in Indian chess, also praised the initiative, pointing out that its free resources and environment are inspiring. Recent achievements of Indian chess players include D Gukesh’s victory over Magnus Carlsen and other tournament successes.
