Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Dwivedi emphasized that the sacred pilgrimage must remain a place of devotion, not a playground for reels and vlogs.
‘The Char Dham Yatra is the epicenter of faith for millions,’ Dwivedi declared. ‘We cannot tolerate people turning it into entertainment fodder.’ He highlighted how vloggers crowd religious sites, forcing pilgrims to endure unnecessary hardships. This issue plagues not just Uttarakhand’s four dhams but religious spots across India.
Recent government meetings have drafted strict guidelines to curb such activities. Implementation is imminent, ensuring smooth access for genuine devotees. Dwivedi assured no compromises on preparations.
Key dates are set: Badrinath temple doors open April 23 at 6 AM. Kedarnath’s schedule aligns with Maha Shivratri. Yamunotri and Gangotri follow on Akshaya Tritiya. ‘Our goal is seamless darshan for all pilgrims from India and abroad,’ he said. Nodal agencies and the state government have finalized all arrangements.
