General Anil Chauhan described ‘Operation Sindoor’ as a new kind of warfare. He explained that the metrics of victory had evolved from previous conflicts, where success was measured by territorial gains, enemy weapons destroyed, and casualties inflicted. The focus of Operation Sindoor, however, was different. General Chauhan highlighted the precision of the attack as a measure of success, with the challenge of striking long-distance targets at night overcome. The CDS asserted that the attack unequivocally defeated Pakistan.
