Bengaluru is reeling from a brutal act of road rage that claimed the life of a young food delivery agent, Darshan, aged 24. The incident, which occurred on October 25, involved a couple, Manoj Kumar and Aarati Sharma, who allegedly chased Darshan on his scooter and intentionally struck him with their car. Early reports suggested a hit-and-run, but CCTV footage provided irrefutable evidence of a premeditated attack. The confrontation began over a minor incident involving a car’s side-view mirror. After a brief apology, the enraged driver pursued Darshan, resulting in a fatal collision. Darshan was pronounced dead at the scene, while his injured friend survived. The couple’s attempt to conceal evidence by returning to the scene masked to retrieve car parts further solidified their guilt. Police confirmed their arrest and confession, with the investigation now proceeding under the Puttenahalli police. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of losing control of one’s temper on the road.
