The NDA has put forth C.P. Radhakrishnan from Tamil Nadu as its candidate for Vice President. The nomination comes amidst the vacancy left by Jagdeep Dhankhar. After much deliberation, the BJP Parliamentary Board decided on Radhakrishnan’s name, which was subsequently announced by J.P. Nadda. The Vice Presidential election is set for September 9th. Should Radhakrishnan win, he will be the third person from Tamil Nadu to become Vice President. The state has previously seen two individuals serve as Vice President.
