Bhopal, March 7: Madhya Pradesh Minister of State (Independent Charge) Krishna Gaur called for creating a society where daughters are safe and self-reliant. Speaking on the eve of International Women’s Day, she extended greetings to women across the state and emphasized that economic independence and educational empowerment of women form the bedrock of a healthy, secure, and prosperous society.
Under the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,’ the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to ensuring equal rights for half the population. Gaur urged everyone to pledge for a society where every daughter feels secure, every woman achieves self-reliance, and every mother wears a smile.
Highlighting the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, she stated that the new India is progressing from ‘development of women’ to ‘development led by women.’ The government is focused on integrating women from the last mile of society into the mainstream of development, fulfilling the ‘Antyodaya’ resolve.
Gaur detailed initiatives like upgrading hostels for girls’ education into model facilities equipped with all amenities. Timely post-matric scholarships are being provided to students. Through schemes like Sardar Patel Coaching Yojana and the national SEED project, free coaching is offered for prestigious exams such as UPSC, MPPSC, NEET, and JEE, enabling girls to secure high positions in administration and technical fields.
For women from backward and minority communities, special training programs are modernizing traditional businesses to meet market demands. This has boosted their products’ competitiveness and empowered these women economically. The dream of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ remains incomplete without uplifting the most deprived women, she asserted.
