Tripura Assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen is undergoing emergency surgery following a brain hemorrhage that occurred at the Agartala Railway Station. The incident happened while Sen was traveling to Dharmanagar by train. He lost consciousness in a restroom, prompting immediate medical attention. Upon arrival at Tripura Medical College (TMC), a medical examination revealed the internal brain hemorrhage. Doctors have advised immediate surgery, which is currently underway at the ILS Hospital in Agartala. Sen has a long political history, having served as the MLA for Dharmanagar four times, starting in 2008 when he won representing the Congress party. He retained the seat in 2013 and later won again in 2018 and 2023.
