Mumbai’s political arena is simmering with fresh controversy after Maharashtra Congress chief Harshvardhan Sapkal drew parallels between Tipu Sultan and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. BJP legislator Ram Kadam has unleashed a scathing attack on Shiv Sena (UBT), the Congress ally, branding it outright as ‘Sonia Sena’.
In an exclusive interview, Kadam remarked that if Balasaheb Thackeray were alive, he would have personally dealt with Sapkal’s audacious statement using his shoe or whip. ‘But Uddhav Thackeray and his leaders, who have placed Balasaheb’s ideology at Rahul Gandhi’s feet, remain silent,’ he fumed.
Kadam questioned Uddhav’s silence on what he called an insult to Shivaji Maharaj by a Congress leader. ‘You flaunt rudraksha beads as a pretense of Hindutva, yet stay mum when Shivaji’s honor is at stake. Where has your Hindutva vanished? Uddhav’s army has fully morphed into Sonia’s army—this is proven once again,’ he asserted.
Shifting gears, Kadam hailed India’s triumphant T20 World Cup win over Pakistan, praising the team’s courage, valor, and dedication. ‘No amount of praise is enough for our Indian squad,’ he said.
He also spotlighted the upcoming India AI Impact Summit 2026, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the transformative potential of AI in business, education, and healthcare. ‘The future belongs to data and AI. A true leader foresees it, just as Modi grasped social media’s power early and now masters AI,’ Kadam concluded, underscoring Modi’s visionary leadership.
