NEW DELHI: The BJP named 45 extra applicants on Sunday for the approaching Uttar Pradesh Meeting polls, fielding Sanjay Sinh from Amethi and Daya Shankar Singh from Ballia Nagar.
Daya Shankar Singh and his spouse Swati Singh, lately a minister within the state executive, had been each looking for the birthday party price ticket to contest from Sarojini Nagar, a seat lately represented within the Meeting by way of the latter, however the ruling birthday party fielded former Enforcement Directorate (ED) officer Rajeshwar Singh from there.
The birthday party has dropped the incumbent MLA, Surendra Singh, and fielded state minister Anand Swaroop Shukla from Bairia.
Sinh hails from the erstwhile royal circle of relatives of Amethi and had joined the Bharatiya Janata Birthday celebration (BJP) in 2019 after quitting the Congress.
