Lucknow witnessed a major organizational push from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on February 14 as it unveiled the ‘Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Training Mega Campaign’ aimed at fortifying its structure from the state headquarters down to the grassroots booth level. Held at the auditorium of Babu Banarasi Das University, the state-level workshop marked the official launch of this ambitious initiative, described by party leaders as a historic step in cadre building.
The campaign’s core revolves around the philosophies of Antyodaya, Integral Humanism, and ‘Nation First,’ which party brass declared as its foundational pillars. BJP’s national minister and national co-convener of the training drive, Om Prakash Dhankhad, emphasized that training is an ongoing process to sharpen workers’ skills. ‘Those who learn keep growing; those who stop learning stagnate,’ he stated, positioning the drive as a landmark in organizational empowerment.
Detailed plans outline training sessions cascading through levels: three-day programs at the state level, two-day sessions at districts, 24-hour workshops at mandal levels, and two-session modules at booths. Pankaj Chaudhary highlighted how this mega campaign will ideologically empower, discipline, and infuse service spirit into workers, drawing from Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s ‘One Nation, One Law’ and Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s Integral Humanism to shift focus from power-centric to people-centric politics, especially the last in line.
State organization general secretary Dharam Pal Singh stressed that trained, active booth workers form the real backbone of the party. This isn’t just a series of events but a continuous process for cadre development, fostering unity and renewed commitment to nation-building. Anup Gupta has been appointed state convener, with co-conveners including Brij Bahadur, Trayambak Tripathi, former Union Minister Ram Shankar Katheria, ex-MP Rajendra Agarwal, Om Prakash Srivastava, state minister Meena Chaube, and social media convener Ankit Singh Chandela.
As Uttar Pradesh gears up for future electoral battles, this training offensive signals BJP’s intent to solidify its ground game, ensuring ideological clarity and operational efficiency at every tier. Party insiders view it as a strategic masterstroke to maintain momentum post recent victories.
