MUMBAI: A person claiming to be a Bharatiya Janata Celebration (BJP) employee has moved a courtroom in Mumbai in opposition to filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma alleging he had handed “uncharitable” remarks about Nationwide Democratic Alliance (NDA) Presidential nominee Droupadi Murmu.
The grievance looking for motion in opposition to Varma for offences underneath sections 499 and 500 (defamation), 504 (deliberately insulting an individual), and 506 (punishment for legal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) used to be filed through Subhas Rajora sooner than the metropolitan Justice of the Peace courtroom in suburban Bandra on July 14, the complainant’s legal professional D V Saroj stated on Saturday.
The Justice of the Peace has adjourned the subject to October 11 for taking cognisance of the grievance, he added.
The grievance said that Varma had made “derogatory” statements thru his Twitter care for which outraged the glory of ladies on social media. His tweets are tantamount to disrespecting the scheduled caste (SC) folks.
