The deal, which slashes US tariffs on Indian products to 18 percent, marks a pivotal moment in bilateral economic ties, unlocking vast opportunities for Indian exporters, MSMEs, and youth.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hailed it as a historic leap for India-US economic partnership. Posting on X, he emphasized how the agreement supercharges ‘Make in India’ by granting Indian goods greater access to global markets. ‘This is a testament to PM Modi’s decisive leadership, bolstering ‘Made in India’ products’ global trust and positioning India as a key driver of world growth,’ he added.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described the pact as a triumph of Modi’s visionary diplomacy, following his phone conversation with US President Donald Trump. ‘Reducing extra tariffs to 18 percent will accelerate Indian exports and trade, showcasing India’s rising economic might on the world stage,’ she stated.
Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called it a true victory of the Modi-Trump friendship, opening doors to exciting prospects for Indian businesses. Maharashtra, a frontrunner in exports, stands to gain immensely in data centers, AI, and frontier technologies, he noted.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised Modi’s globally respected leadership for amplifying India’s influence. ‘This milestone provides ‘Made in India’ products entry into a massive global marketplace, creating jobs for youth, farmers, and MSMEs,’ Sarma posted.
