Patna buzzes with excitement following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s glowing tribute to BJP’s new national president, Nitin Nabin. In a heartfelt moment during the party’s organizational event, Modi declared himself a mere worker while hailing Nabin as his boss, a gesture that has filled Bihar’s 14 crore people with immense pride.

BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, speaking to the media in Patna, captured the sentiment perfectly. ‘Bihar’s chest has expanded to 56 inches,’ he proclaimed, echoing Modi’s iconic phrase. Hussain emphasized that Nabin, a son of Bihar, has now risen to lead the nation’s largest political party, marking a historic milestone for the state.

The ceremony, attended by heavyweights like Home Minister Amit Shah, party chief JP Nadda, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, underscored the seamless transition in BJP leadership. Modi’s words resonated deeply, boosting morale among party workers across India and abroad.

Hussain highlighted the wave of joy sweeping Bihar, especially among the youth. ‘Nitin Nabin is our young president, and we’re all proud,’ he said. This appointment signals a new era for BJP, with workers recommitted to nation-building under Nabin’s guidance.

Meanwhile, on a side note, Hussain dodged questions about the ongoing tussle for the BMC mayor post between Eknath Shinde’s faction and BJP, assuring that a decision would be announced soon. Bihar’s moment in the national spotlight, however, remains the day’s biggest story, symbolizing the state’s growing influence in Indian politics.
