In a chilling tale of infidelity and murder, a young man returning from Saudi Arabia after 18 months was brutally killed by his own wife and her lover. Ehsaan Raza from Kochadhaman, Kishanganj, Bihar, arrived home on March 5 amid family celebrations. But that evening, lured by his wife Shamreen Taj to her parental home for iftar, he never made it back alive.
His body was discovered under a culvert near Malhara Madrasa, initially mistaken for a road accident. However, deep wounds on the back of his head raised immediate suspicions. Police investigations revealed no accident signs, pointing straight to premeditated murder.
Ehsaan had left for Saudi just three months after marriage to support his family, diligently sending money home. Unbeknownst to him, back in Bihar, Shamreen had rekindled a pre-marital affair with her cousin Siraj Anjum. When she discovered her two-month pregnancy—impossible with Ehsaan abroad—the panic set in as his return loomed.
Under intense interrogation, Shamreen confessed. Siraj, eager to claim the child, and Shamreen, desperate to eliminate her husband, plotted the perfect crime. She called Ehsaan to her maika en route, where Siraj ambushed and bludgeoned him to death, staging the scene as an accident.
While Shamreen now languishes in jail, Siraj fled with cash and belongings. Police raids continue to hunt the prime suspect. This heartbreaking story underscores the deadly consequences of betrayal, leaving Ehsaan’s family shattered and demanding swift justice.
