Delhi’s weather has shifted, with a respite from the rain on Friday and bright sunshine. Although a yellow alert was issued, the forecast offers relief: no heavy rain is expected in Delhi for the next five days. From September 6th to 11th, heavy rainfall is unlikely. The maximum temperature in Delhi on Friday was 34 degrees Celsius, and the minimum was 24 degrees Celsius. The forecast anticipates similar conditions. However, recent rains have caused waterlogging issues. Punjab is still grappling with the aftermath of heavy rainfall. The Meteorological Department has issued a three-day alert for heavy rain in Punjab. Isolated locations in Gujarat and eastern Rajasthan are expected to receive very heavy rainfall on September 6th and 7th. Following the disaster in the mountain states, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are under a heavy rain alert until September 8th. Rain is also predicted for East Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Marathwada, Konkan, Goa, and central Maharashtra on September 10th and 11th. Light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is anticipated in these areas over the next week. Several other states are also under alert, including West Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, where rain is expected on September 7th. Chhattisgarh may experience very heavy rainfall on September 10th and 11th. Heavy rain is anticipated in Assam and Meghalaya on September 10th and 11th. Light rain is possible in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura between September 5th and 7th and in Arunachal Pradesh between September 6th and 9th. Heavy rainfall is likely in certain areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Mahe on September 5th and 6th. Strong winds are expected in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next five days.
