A teacher at Madda Middle School in the Sanhaula block of Bhagalpur district, Bihar, has been accused of assaulting five female students. The students were allegedly punished for arriving late to the morning prayer. Teacher Sanjay Sah is accused of grabbing the students’ hair, throwing them to the ground, and brutally beating them. The students were injured and transported to a local hospital by their families. Parents and community members were outraged by the teacher’s actions and demanded his removal from the school.
