The Mukhyamantri Nishchay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana in Bihar is being expanded to include unemployed graduates, offering them financial support. The scheme, a part of the state government’s ‘Seven Resolves’ program, began in 2016 and originally targeted unemployed youth aged 20-25 who had completed their 12th standard. These individuals received a monthly allowance of ₹1,000 for up to two years. The program has been extended through 2025-26. The expansion now includes graduates (Arts, Science, and Commerce streams) from recognized universities, colleges, and institutions. Eligible graduates must be between 20-25 years old, unemployed, not enrolled in further education, and actively seeking employment to avail the ₹1,000 per month allowance for a maximum of two years.
