Training and Financial Support Bolstering Khadi and Village Industries in Bihar

In 2023-24, the government sanctioned 30 lakh rupees for establishing Khadi outlets and repairing existing ones, including Khadi Mall Patna, Khadi Bhawan Chhapra (Saran), and Khadi Bhawan Ara (Bhojpur). Furthermore, under the training program, 105 training camps have been organized since 2022-23, providing training to a total of 2,625 individuals. The government has also provided substantial financial support to the Village Industries scheme. In 2023-24, 1 crore rupees were allocated for this scheme, followed by 10 lakh rupees in 2024-25. Additionally, Khadi fairs are organized periodically across different locations in the state to promote Khadi and Village Industries.
