At the TV9 Digital Bihar meeting, RJD leader Sudhakar Singh offered insights into the upcoming Bihar elections, and party dynamics. Singh highlighted the crisis of internal democracy within all political parties. He noted that Bihar is perpetually in election mode and that the Bihar elections are a topic of national conversation. Reflecting on the 2020 election results, Singh mentioned the narrow defeat. He criticized the Election Commission’s Voter List Revision (SIR) process, calling it a new form of manipulation. He also questioned the impartiality of the Election Commission regarding the voter list. According to Singh, elections are often decided by small margins, and he claimed the BJP is continuously assessing how to optimize its vote share. He claimed the Election Commission’s initial plan to exclude 20% of voters, later revised to 8%. Singh also talked about the use of Aadhaar cards. He questioned the reasons behind not using Aadhaar cards in voter list revision, claiming a lack of explanation from the Election Commission. He further elaborated on the discrepancy between the number of Aadhaar card holders and voters in Bihar, explaining the age difference in card creation. Also, he said that Aadhaar cards can’t be created in three locations, and that Aadhaar cards can be used to eliminate duplicate voters from the voter list.
