Tensions flared during a recent visit by RJD MLA Alok Mehta to his constituency in Bihar. Mehta, a former minister, was met with a barrage of criticism from residents, particularly in the Mahadalit Tola of Raipur Panchayat, Samastipur. One resident publicly denounced Mehta’s performance, stating that he had done nothing for the community for the past five years. The individual’s frustration was evident as he accused Mehta of only showing up due to the impending elections. A video capturing the heated exchange went viral, showing the resident’s anger and Mehta’s attempts to prevent the video recording. Mehta, a significant figure within the RJD and a close associate of Lalu Yadav, was forced to leave the area amid the unrest.
