Violence erupted in Patna on Wednesday night with the assassination of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Rajkumar Rai. The incident transpired at approximately 10 PM in lane number seventeen, adjacent to the Rajendra Nagar Terminal. Police confirmed the presence of the perpetrators in CCTV footage and have initiated a comprehensive investigation. Rai was known for his political involvement and his engagements in land transactions. After being shot, he managed to enter a nearby shop, but later passed away on the way to the hospital.
