The Bihar cabinet has granted in-principle approval to hand over the newly constructed state sports academy-cum-international cricket stadium in Rajgir to the Bihar Cricket Association, affiliated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), for maintenance and operation. This will enable the stadium to host national and international cricket matches.
In addition, the cabinet made decisions in the interest of the state’s players, approving the acquisition of land for sports infrastructure and establishing a recruitment policy for outstanding players.
