As the election fervor builds in Bihar, political figures are making bold predictions. Prashant Kishor of the Jan Suraaj Party has made a strong statement about his party’s mission to transform Bihar. This transformation, according to Kishor, will be pursued either through direct involvement in governance or through a sustained period of struggle spanning five to six years. Kishor addressed a press conference on Thursday, revealing his outlook on the Bihar elections. He predicted a pivotal moment for Jan Suraaj, indicating that they would either achieve substantial gains or face setbacks. He stated that the party might secure a few seats and require another five to six years of effort, or achieve an overwhelming victory, empowering them to reshape Bihar’s governance. Kishor underscored his belief that the change in Bihar’s system is inevitable.

Kishor also directly addressed Bihar’s Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, suggesting that the political landscape in the state will be transformed after the election results in November. He implied that Nitish Kumar might not continue in his role. Regardless of the new Chief Minister, the direction of change in Bihar is set to be the same.

Additionally, Kishor advocated for a system where the public’s interests are at the forefront, maintaining that the true transformation of Bihar requires the rule of the people rather than the dominance of political leaders. He called upon people to make informed voting decisions based on factors such as employment and children’s education.

Moreover, Kishor criticized both the NDA and INDIA alliances. He pointed out the BJP initially placed his party within the INDIA alliance during his foot march, but now they are linked to the NDA. He suggests that this situation highlights the anxiety within both alliances regarding the influence of the Jan Suraaj Party.
