Prashant Kishor has sharply criticized Nitish Kumar’s government over the Rs 400 pension provided to senior citizens in Bihar. Kishor declared the amount inadequate, suggesting that even individuals begging on the streets earn more. Speaking in Begusarai, Kishor presented his vision for the state, focusing on job creation and educational reforms. He committed to providing employment opportunities within Bihar to curb migration. Moreover, Kishor vowed to increase the pension to Rs 2,000 monthly. He also announced a plan to cover the tuition fees of children from impoverished backgrounds attending private English-medium schools. Kishor is currently leading the ‘Badlav Yatra,’ a state-wide campaign during which he is directly challenging the policies of the ruling parties, including JD(U), RJD, and BJP.
