A recent incident in Bihar has brought to light a sophisticated attempt to forge a residential certificate using the identity of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The case involves an online application submitted in the Saraiya police station area of Muzaffarpur. An FIR has been registered against an unknown individual for the fraudulent application. According to the complaint filed by Revenue Officer Abhishek Singh, the act was a calculated move to defame the Chief Minister and undermine the administration. The application, bearing the number BRCCO/2025/6940816, requested a residential certificate under the name of Nitish Kumar, and included his photograph. During verification, the authorities exposed the deceptive nature of the application. Police are currently investigating the matter, attempting to trace the IP address associated with the application to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.
