A concerning situation unfolded in Gopalganj, Bihar, where a young man, after suffering significant losses in an online game, sought a drastic solution to his financial troubles. Having gambled away 200,000 rupees he had borrowed, he approached a local doctor with a desperate request: to purchase his kidney.

The man, identified as Sujit Kumar, hails from Sirmai village in the Saran district. He runs a studio and takes on video recording jobs for weddings and other events. His introduction to the online game, DBG, came through an advertisement on Instagram.

Initially, Sujit experienced some success in the game, winning a considerable amount. Fueled by this initial win, he continued to play, driven by a desire for wealth. Even funds sent by his uncle for a motorcycle were gambled in the hopes of multiplying the money, a decision that ultimately led to his financial downfall.

Facing a debt of 200,000 rupees, Sujit left his village and went to Gopalganj, where he sought medical assistance. He approached a doctor at a private clinic, explaining his situation and asking if the doctor would consider buying his kidney to help him pay off his debt.

Intrigued by the unusual request, the doctor questioned Sujit about his motivation. Sujit recounted his tale of online gaming losses and his desperate need to resolve his debt. The doctor, upon hearing this, alerted other people.

The individuals who were present at the clinic quickly intervened, providing counsel and guidance to the young man. His family members were then contacted and arrived at the clinic. After talking to Sujit, they took him back home. The incident is now a subject of widespread conversation in the local community.
