Bihar Police welcomed approximately 22,000 new constables on Saturday. The recruits received their appointment letters from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. During the ceremony, the new constables took an oath to abstain from alcohol for their entire lives. They also swore to strictly enforce Bihar’s prohibition laws. The event was held at the Bapu Sabhagar in Patna, and it was considered a major event. Details of the event were shared by Nitish Kumar on his social media platform, X. The new recruitments are part of the government’s plan to strengthen law and order in Bihar. Kumar highlighted the importance of a strong legal system and mentioned the ongoing recruitment of police officers. He added that the strength of the police force has been steadily increasing since 2006 and the government aims to fill over 229,000 positions by the end of the year. This initiative aims to reduce crime rates, increase police presence in both rural and urban areas, and enhance the security of the citizens.
