In a shocking incident that has left the nation reeling, a neighbor in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district turned into a monster by sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl. The heinous crime unfolded in the Mushahri police station area, where the innocent child was playing near her home at an abandoned brick kiln, picking up empty Kurkure packets.
The accused, identified as Sujit alias Shukla from the neighborhood, spotted the girl alone and lured her towards a nearby pond. There, he committed the unthinkable act of rape. When the child began bleeding profusely and lost consciousness, the perpetrator panicked. To cover his tracks, he rushed to the girl’s family and lied, claiming she had been injured by a stake.
Family members rushed to the scene and were horrified to find blood gushing from the child’s private parts. Regaining consciousness briefly, the little girl bravely recounted her ordeal. Enraged villagers, upon learning the truth, chased down the fleeing Sujit, apprehended him, and administered a severe beating before handing him over to the police.
Police acted swiftly. SDPO Eastern Manoj Kumar Singh confirmed the arrest of the accused, who is now under intense interrogation. Forensic teams have collected evidence from the crime scene, and authorities promise a speedy trial with the strictest punishment. The victim was first admitted to a local hospital but, due to her critical condition from heavy bleeding, has been referred to SKMCH for advanced treatment.
