Internal Strife in Lalu Family: Rohini Acharya’s Unfollowing and Tej Pratap’s Response

The Lalu family in Bihar is experiencing intensifying discord. Following Tej Pratap Yadav’s actions, his daughter Rohini Acharya has seemingly rebelled. The situation escalated after a video featuring Sanjay Yadav, a close associate of Tejashwi Yadav, circulated. Rohini responded by making her X account private and unfollowing several family members. Rohini’s X account shows she follows 61 people, with only her sister Misa Bharti from the Patliputra constituency among them. This move is seen as a demonstration of Rohini Acharya’s opposition to Tejashwi Yadav. This act is a result of the growing conflict between Rohini Acharya and her sister regarding Sanjay Yadav, a close associate of Tejashwi Yadav. Rohini expressed her displeasure by sharing two posts on X. The first post included a picture of her father, Lalu, with the words, “Those who risk their lives, fearlessness is in their blood.” She defined herself as a responsible daughter and sister. These posts, which were accessible until Saturday morning, were subsequently deleted when Rohini privatized her X account. This situation points to internal conflict within the party and the family, causing a stir in political circles. Tej Pratap Yadav has also unfollowed several family members and RJD members, fueling reports of internal disputes within the party. Lalu Prasad Yadav had previously removed Tej Pratap from the party for six years and separated him from the family. Tejashwi Yadav, Misa Bharti, and Rohini Acharya endorsed Lalu’s decision. Tej Pratap Yadav stated that she has done commendable work as a woman. Her contributions will be perpetually acknowledged. The Sudarshan Chakra of Krishna will be invoked against those who insult our sisters. Rohini Acharya’s actions could cause further instability within the Lalu family and the RJD.
