Following the early onset of the southwest monsoon, many regions saw heavy rainfall, but that period has now ended. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) anticipates typical weather conditions across the country. Delhi-NCR and other areas are again facing the brunt of severe heat. In Delhi, the heat has returned after recent rains. The weather department predicts no rain in the upcoming days, with a clear sky expected today. The maximum temperature could reach 40 degrees Celsius, and the minimum is 26 degrees Celsius. The mercury is likely to remain above 40 degrees Celsius from June 14, meaning Delhi residents should brace for heat for another five days.

Uttar Pradesh is experiencing relentless heat. Strong daytime sunshine is causing significant warmth. The weather department doesn’t foresee rain in the state until June 11. Heatwaves could affect Bundelkhand, Vindhya, and adjoining regions from June 9-11. Eastern Uttar Pradesh may see the onset of rain from June 11 due to easterly winds.

Most districts in Bihar will experience dry weather today. Patna’s maximum temperature will be 37 degrees Celsius, and the minimum will be 27 degrees Celsius. The weather department has issued a warning for rain starting June 10, with humid heat expected before that. Temperatures could increase by up to four degrees. Light rain and thunderstorms are possible in Ranchi, Jharkhand, and several other districts this evening.

Heatwaves are expected in Western Rajasthan (June 8-11), Punjab and Haryana (June 9-11), and Northern Madhya Pradesh (June 9-10), resulting in extreme heat. Southern India and the Northeast are likely to receive heavy rainfall from June 10. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in much of Northeast India over the next seven days.

Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are currently under intense heat. Strong sunshine is prevalent in Uttarakhand’s hilly areas, creating a sense of warmth. However, the weather in the mountains is expected to change swiftly. Rain is possible in several areas of Himachal Pradesh on June 12-13.
