The weather forecast suggests continued rainfall, with thunderstorms, across Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and the rest of NCR. The showers are anticipated to last until August 21st. Significant rainfall is also predicted for Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttarakhand. The ongoing heavy rains have increased the chances of landslides in the mountainous areas. Mumbai has also been affected by heavy rainfall since Friday night, which has disrupted daily life.
The IMD has issued an Orange Alert for heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, particularly in Bageshwar, Nainital, and Dehradun. Very heavy to exceptionally heavy rainfall is expected in these locations on Sunday. Heavy rainfall is also expected in Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, and Champawat. Other districts in the state may also see heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. The weather department has advised people to stay vigilant and be cautious. A slight decrease in rainfall in Uttarakhand has provided some relief to the residents.
Uttar Pradesh has been experiencing heavy rainfall for several days. The meteorological department forecasts heavy rainfall in various districts of western UP from August 16th to 22nd, including Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Agra, Moradabad, and Bareilly. Eastern UP is also expected to experience heavy rainfall, with districts like Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, Deoria, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Kushinagar, Ballia, and Mau potentially facing heavy rainfall from August 21st-22nd.

Cloudbursts have resulted in fatalities, and many people have had to evacuate their homes due to the persistent rain. Heavy rainfall is expected to continue in the state on August 16th and 17th.

The weather department forecasts that there will be no significant change in the weather over the next four days, but heavy rainfall is expected from August 20th to 22nd.
The IMD predicts heavy rainfall for the next seven days in Meghalaya, Assam, Tripura, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Manipur. Arunachal Pradesh is likely to experience very heavy rainfall from August 19th to 21st.
