Father in Bihar Allegedly Rapes Daughter, Keeps Her Captive After Remarriage

In a disturbing incident from Sheohar, Bihar, a father is accused of raping his own daughter and imprisoning her for six days. The father has two wives. The victim is the daughter of the first wife. After marrying his sister-in-law, the accused father fathered three sons and a daughter. The victim’s mother had remarried and the daughter lived with her mother. However, four months ago, the father brought his daughter to live with him. Following a domestic dispute involving the stepmother, the father and daughter were left alone in the house. It was during this time that the father allegedly held his daughter captive and committed the act of rape. The police were alerted via Dial 112. The girl was rescued and brought to the women’s police station, where she detailed the horrific events. The police have taken her statement and performed a medical examination and are actively pursuing the father.
