In a shocking incident, a CISF jawan deployed at Gaya International Airport in Bihar has died while in Haryana Police custody. The jawan’s wife and son have leveled serious allegations against the police, claiming he was forcibly picked up without a proper arrest warrant and brutally killed. Mukesh Singh, a resident of Vaishali district, was on duty at the airport’s garden area when the Haryana Police arrived late evening and took him into custody.
According to the grieving son, Nilesh Singh, his father received a call just hours later stating he had succumbed to a heart attack. ‘My father had no known health issues. How could he suddenly suffer a heart attack?’ Nilesh questioned, demanding justice. The family rushed to Magadh Medical Thana to file a complaint, but no FIR has been registered yet. DSP Town 2 Dharmendra Bharti is on site investigating the matter.
Haryana Police claim they had informed CISF officials about an old warrant related to a fraud case in Bahadurgarh and took custody legally after coordination. The body has been sent for postmortem, with results expected to shed light on the cause of death. Inspector Krishna Singh of Medical Thana confirmed the procedural handover.
The underlying case stems from an alleged fraud in Haryana years ago, where Mukesh had appeared before police multiple times without resolution. His wife tearfully accused the officers of beating him to death, vowing not to rest until the truth emerges. This case raises serious questions about custodial deaths and police accountability in India.
As the investigation unfolds, the family awaits autopsy reports and hopes for a thorough probe. Public outrage is mounting on social media, with calls for an independent inquiry.
