Amidst recent shifts in political rhetoric, Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) President and Union Minister Chirag Paswan has become a subject of discussion due to his evolving statements. While Paswan has been critical of the Bihar government, particularly concerning law and order, his recent remarks have caused a stir. Paswan, who has previously targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is now heaping praise.

Chirag Paswan has expressed confidence in Nitish Kumar’s ability to lead, stating, “I am fully confident that Nitish Kumar is perfectly fit and healthy to continue governing Bihar for the next five years. The election will be fought under his leadership, and the NDA will secure a victory.”

During an interview, when asked if Bihar needed younger leadership and if he believed Nitish Kumar was fit to govern, the Union Minister responded with an unwavering affirmation. He voiced his belief that Nitish Kumar is perfectly capable of continuing for the next five years and expressed a desire for the Chief Minister to remain healthy and allow Bihar to benefit from his long-standing experience.

Paswan also asserted that the current era necessitates experienced leadership, and he underscored that Nitish Kumar is the individual who has guided the state from a period of ‘jungle raj’ to its current standing. He acknowledged the generational shifts within every state, government, and political party, but maintained that the present conditions in Bihar demand experienced leadership and that the next five years belong to Nitish Kumar’s leadership.

Furthermore, Paswan provided clarifications on his statements regarding law and order, asserting that as a part of the central government, he uses his platform to bring the public’s concerns to the government’s attention. He supports the Bihar government, but he is not a part of it, so he raises important issues when they arise. He also stated that the opposition attempts to misinterpret his words to mislead the public into believing that he will contest the elections independently, outside of the NDA.

The Union Minister also emphasized the strength of the NDA, highlighting the unity of all five parties. He predicted that the NDA would win more than 225 seats in Bihar in the upcoming elections. He also stated that the opposition seeks to portray that he is showing disrespect to his own government, whereas he has complete faith in his government and Nitish Kumar.

Paswan also acknowledged that the public had given Nitish Kumar the name ‘Sushasan Babu’ (Good Governance Gentleman) because of his accomplishments. He pointed out that if the law and order situation worsens in Bihar even today, Nitish Kumar is the only person with the experience to manage those situations. He also commented on SIR in Bihar, highlighting that it was needed because the opposition had continuously complained about irregularities after every election. He noted that when these irregularities are being rectified through the process, the same people are now opposing it.
