They reportedly shouted ‘I love Bulldozer Baba,’ a clear jab amid ongoing political undercurrents. Camp volunteers pushed back, leading to scuffles that heightened fears for safety.
In a formal complaint to the Kalpavasi police station, Swami Avimukteshwaranand highlighted imminent threats to his life, devotees, and camp property. He demanded immediate FIRs against the perpetrators and round-the-clock security deployment. ‘Any future breach could spell disaster,’ the notice warned, pinning full responsibility on the mela administration and police should incidents recur.
This clash stems from a prior standoff during the Mauni Amavasya bath rituals. Authorities had barred the Shankaracharya’s palanquin procession, prompting a sit-in protest now in its seventh day at Sector 4, Triveni Marg North Track.
