Violence erupted in Begusarai district, Bihar, where a man was assaulted after being bound to a pillar. The heinous act was captured on video, which subsequently went viral locally. The footage depicts a severe beating, causing alarm and distress. The Lakho police were alerted and promptly intervened to rescue the victim.
The incident occurred in Manjhampur, Ward Number 15, within the Lakho police station’s jurisdiction. The victim, Rajiv Kumar, was returning home after collecting a debt when he was attacked and held captive. The attackers then proceeded to brutally assault him. Upon receiving information about the incident, local residents contacted the Lakho police.
Following the rescue, the police initially took the injured man to the police station before providing medical assistance. The victim’s family has raised concerns, alleging a delay in providing proper medical care. It was after family members intervened that Rajiv Kumar was taken to Sadar Hospital in Begusarai for treatment, where he is currently recovering.
The police have apprehended two individuals as part of their investigation. According to Lakho police station officer Sandeep Kumar, police responded to a report of an assault and found the man injured. The police subsequently transported him to Sadar Hospital in Begusarai for medical attention. Further investigations are underway.
