A shocking incident has rocked Vaishali district in Bihar, where a man visiting his in-laws allegedly raped his minor sister-in-law living nearby. The heinous crime in Lalganj police station area has sparked outrage among villagers, who gathered in large numbers demanding strict action against the accused.
Vishnu Ram, a resident of Maniyari in Muzaffarpur district, had come to his sasural in Lalganj. According to reports, he targeted the underage girl, who is related to him as his sali, falling prey to his lustful intentions. The moment locals learned of the assault, fury spread like wildfire. Crowds thronged the spot, raising slogans against the perpetrator and insisting on immediate justice.
Lalganj SHO Manmohan Kumar rushed to the scene with a police team upon receiving the complaint. Recognizing the sensitivity of the case involving a minor, officers swiftly arrested Vishnu Ram. The traumatized victim, found in a distraught state, was promptly taken to the sadar hospital for medical examination under the escort of female constables.
Sadar-2 SDPO Gopal Mandal personally supervised the investigation, accompanied by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team. They meticulously collected scientific evidence from the crime scene to build a watertight case.
