A woman from Begusarai went missing from a train, causing widespread concern. The husband, Sumit Kumar, reported to the Laheriasarai railway police that his wife, Aanchal Kumari, disappeared on the Howrah-Jayanagar train. The couple boarded the train from Teghra station on June 28, 2025. Aanchal told Sumit she was going to the restroom near Samastipur station, but never came back. Sumit mentioned he had dozed off momentarily. When he awoke, his wife was missing. Despite searching the bathroom and the entire compartment, she wasn’t found. The train reached Laheriasarai, and the search continued at the station, but to no avail.
Sumit tried calling his wife’s phone, but it was off. He provided the number to the police. They got married on May 18, 2025, in Begusarai and had been living together for six weeks. There were no prior indications of any relationship outside of their marriage. Sumit stated he filed a complaint, but there’s been no update.
