The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for the Bihar assembly elections with a series of high-level meetings. Following the announcement of the election in-charge team on Thursday, a significant meeting was held at the BJP office in Patna on Friday. The meeting aimed to strategize for the upcoming elections and discuss candidate selection. It was attended by prominent figures, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, and other key leaders from the Bihar BJP unit. Reports suggest that the meeting included the presentation of reports on potential candidates. The Screening Committee’s recommendations were submitted to election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan and B.L. Santhosh after two days of committee meetings. During the meeting, Amit Shah emphasized the need for party leaders to be fully prepared for the upcoming assembly elections. He addressed party workers and engaged in discussions on various election strategies. The gathering was also attended by key figures such as election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, state in-charge Vinod Tawde and National Secretary (Organization) B.L. Santhosh, among other top leaders. The meeting took place at the BJP’s Bihar headquarters, which was adorned with posters of Amit Shah. He is scheduled to visit Samastipur and Araria on Saturday, where he will interact with party workers. This marks his second visit to Bihar in the past week, after addressing party workers in Rohtas and Begusarai on September 19th. On Friday, the Home Minister began the day by meeting party workers in Bettiah, the headquarters of West Champaran. He shared photos of the meeting on X, stating that he met with senior party workers from the Saran and Champaran regions and provided instructions for the upcoming elections. He highlighted the important role the 45 assembly seats across the 10 organizational districts in these regions will play in securing an NDA government with a strong majority in Bihar. The BJP is contesting the elections as part of the NDA alliance, which includes the Janata Dal United, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas Paswan), Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
